We took a road trip to visit some friends of ours in Virgina. While we were there we went to Washington DC to see the White House, Washington monument and the Smithsonian air and space museum. We all had a wonderful time and can't wait to go back and see more.

Road Trip to Washington DC

Well we made it through putting our first child into school. Payton started Pre-K September 2nd. His teacher seems to be wonderful and so nice. His favorite part of school is playing with the cars. He took a nap after coming home from school and he asked why he had to. I told him he needed to get rest because he had to go to school tomorrow. He tells me "I have to go to school again?" He likes going to school. I has been really quiet in the mornings when he is gone but Nathaniel and I are enjoying the time together.

First day of Pre-K

Well I finally updated our blog. Payton turned 4 in June. He is getting SO big. He loved his party and his truck cake (don't laugh). We also got to see our first 4th of July in three years. This year was the first time Nathaniel got to see fireworks. He was not too sure about them but LOVED the sparklers and the fountains we set off. If was a lot of fun! In the midst of all this we found out that we will be adding another family member to our family. We are excited and can't wait for the bundle of joy to arrive.

We went to Ripley's Aquarium and the kids LOVED looking at all of the fish. It was cool!

Fishy! Fishy!

The last two weeks have been busy for us. We had Papa and Mamaw (Dave & Gwen) come and visit us. Then two days later we had Grandpa and Grandma (Doc & Janet) come and visit. Between the two visits we went to 2-beaches, 2-boardwalks, 2-wineries, 3-golf games, 1-shopping mall, 1-museum and 1-aquarium. Sounds like a lot but is was perfect. We had a BLAST and can't wait for more family and friends to come.
